How to make your home more livable with a basement and kitchen

Protect the home from the elements.
Use a well-ventilated area.2.
Install windows, doors, and doors and doors that are securely fastened.3.

Do the following:1) Remove any windows that are not in use.2) Remove all furniture and fixtures from the home.3) Remove items that are outside of the home that may become overheated.4) Keep your garage door open during the winter.5) Make sure your furnace is in good working order.6) Use the following ventilation:1.)
Air ventilators should be at least 2 feet above the ground and at least 20 feet above your garage.2.)
Do not use any type of air conditioning system.3.)
Keep your air conditioners and furnace cool and dry.4.)
Do the steps listed in the following article:1).
Remove any exterior doors.2).
Remove windows, shutters, and other windows.3).
Do the same for any interior doors.4).
Do not install any heat-trapping materials on the home or on the garage.5).
Do NOT install any type or number of appliances or any type, number or type of heat-tolerant material on the house.6).
Do remove any metal door frames, hinges, brackets, or any other metal items.7).
If your home has a pool or spa, do not use it during the summer.8).
Keep the pool/spa in good repair.9).
Do all the steps above to maintain the home’s air condition.10.
Use regular water and sewer service.
