Man shot dead, two others wounded in West Philly shooting
A man has been shot and killed in West Philadelphia, two other people were wounded, police said Sunday.
The victim, a 55-year-old man, was shot in the chest, police and the medical examiner’s office said.
They did not provide details.
The shooting happened in the 1600 block of South Park Avenue, which is near a church.
Police said the victim was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in stable condition.
The other two people who were wounded were taken to nearby St. Vincent’s Hospital in stable or good condition.
The hospital said it received a call of a shooting at the building at about 1:30 p.m.
Police said it is too early to say if they had a suspect.
The building is not far from a bus stop.
